Ordering & Payment Information
- I'm a new customer - How do I log in?
Welcome! Glad you found us. Go to the homepage and select "Login". You will
then be able to fill out the "New Customer Registration" and you can proceed
from there.
- How do I update my personal information?
On the homepage, select "Login". Once you "Sign In" with your email address
and password you can then access "My Account". You can edit your personal
information at this time.
- How do I know if an item is available?
If the color and quantity are added to your shopping cart and there is no
"due date" listed, then the item is in stock. If you add an item to your
cart and it is not in stock there will be an asterisk(*) with the due date
the item will come into stock.
- When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will not be charged until your order ships. If your order
includes items that are on reserve, your shipping charge will be pro-rated.
As your reserved items are shipped to you, the remaining shipping will be
charged to you accordingly.
- What forms of payment are accepted
at Long Elegant Legs?
LEL accepts the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American
Express

- How do I track my order?
Once your order is shipped, you will receive an e-mail from us with the
tracking number. You can then go to the UPS website and put in the tracking
number to see the progress of your package and the scheduled delivery date.
- How do I review my order history?
All shoppers registered at longelegantlegs.com can log in, and select the
tab for "Past Orders". Internet orders (only) placed over the past two years
will be available for you to view. For assistance on those and other orders,
just give us a call at 1-800-344-2235. We'll be happy to help.
- What is a promotion code?
Sometimes we have special sales which have a code associated with them.
After you select your first item and hit "add to shopping bag", there will
be a purple box for you to put your code in. Prior promotions are void.
- Do you have any retail stores?
No, we don't. For 20 years, we've had our Long Elegant Legs catalog, and
the past 10 years a website.

- Can I have my order gift-wrapped?
Currently, we do not have that service available.
- Can I have an LEL wish list?
Yes.
- How do I access and send my LEL wish
list to others?
At our Homepage, select "Login", then "My Account" then "Wishlists" then
"Create". You can email your wishlist along with a personal message to up
to 20 email addresses by entering them and sending your list. You also have
the option to make your selection "private" by checking that box.
Shipping Information
- How are shipping charges and sales tax
calculated?
Your shipping charges are based
on the total amount of your items. We ship from NJ, which is exempt from
sales tax on clothing.
- When will I receive my order if I use standard
ground shipping?
We ship UPS from New Jersey. If you live in the surrounding states you should
receive your package in 3-5 business days, the mid-central states approx.
5-7 business days and the West Coast approx. 7-10 business days.
- How can I receive my order sooner?
When you want to expedite your order, you have the option of selecting 2nd
day delivery for $12 in addition to your standard ground shipping charge,
or overnight for $18 in addition to your standard ground shipping. (Standard
ground shipping charges are determined by the total amount of your order.)
Saturday delivery is also available for $28 in addition to your standard
ground shipping charge. If you place your order before 1:30 p.m. Eastern
Time M-F, and select 2nd or Next Day, it will go out that same day. Orders
received after that time will go out with the following business day. Expedited
shipping is not available for P.O. Boxes, APO's or International Shipments.
- Can I have my order shipped internationally?
Yes, we do ship orders internationally. There is an additional $35.00 shipping
charge plus standard shipping charges for orders shipped overseas. All appropriate
customs' duties and taxes will be paid by recipient and is usually collected
upon delivery.
Shipping to Canada costs $10 per order - regardless of size of order. We
ship Priority Mail through the US Postal Service. You will be notified by
email when your package is shipped. Transit time usually takes 6-10 business

Returns and Exchanges
- What is your return policy?
If you are not absolutely delighted with your purchase, we will gladly accept
returns of unworn, unwashed merchandise, for a merchandise refund within
30 days of your order. If we receive your return after 30 days, but within
75 days, you will receive a merchandise credit, which you can apply to any
future order. (Good for one year from the date the credit is issued). We
do not refund the original shipping charge.
- How do I exchange an item?
The quickest way to receive the exchange items you would like would be to
do a phone exchange. Please give us a call at 1-800-344-2235. Our customer
service representatives will be happy to help you. Your credit card will
be charged for your new merchandise, with no shipping fee. When we receive
the item(s) back that you returned, you will be refunded the merchandise
amount. If you use the UPS return label, $6.95 will be deducted from the
merchandise amount.
Alternatively, on the back of your shipping document included in your shipment,
is a return/exchange form. Simply fill out the item(s) you are sending back
to us, and what you'd like us to exchange it for. We will refund your credit
card for the item(s) you are returning (minus the ups return label if used)
and then charge you for the new item(s). If you paid by check or money order,
we ask that you include a check or money order for the difference minus
the shipping charges. We will send you a check if there is a difference
owed to you. Either way you choose, you will not be charged for an additional
shipping fee for your exchanged order.
- How do I ship items back to you?
UPS Authorized Return Service Label - For your convenience, included
in each order (other than a P.O. Box, APO or International Shipment) a prepaid
UPS return shipping label for orders in the continental US. Please include
the return/exchange form (which is located on the back of your shipping
document), along with the item(s) you are returning. You may drop this off
to a UPS store or UPS box. To use this service, a flat rate of $6.95 will
be deducted from your return merchandise amount. If you'd like to track
your return, just copy the tracking number on your return label, and logon
to UPS.
Using the Carrier of Your Choice - If you wish to return on your
own, or have a PO, APO or International Order, or are shipping from Alaska
or Hawaii, please use your own trackable shipping method, and mail to: Long
Elegant Legs, Attention: Returns, 2 Jill Court, Hillsborough, NJ 08844.
- What if my return/exchange was a gift?
You will receive merchandise credit in the amount of your gift, to be used
toward any future purchase. You also have the option of the person who bought
you the gift to receive a credit on the form of payment that they used.
- How long does it take to receive credit
for my return?
Please allow 2-3 weeks from the date you sent the return back to us for
the refund to appear on your credit card.
Sizing Information
- How do I know my size?
Long Elegant Legs clothes are made proportionately longer, not wider, just
perfect for us graced with height. You can feel comfortable ordering your
regular size. For the tops, both the body length and sleeves have about
3" added to traditional misses' sizes to accommodate our tall frame. The
pants all have a 36" inseams, and, depending on the fit, will have a longer
rise than "regular" sizes. Our fit-by-phone specialists are here to help,
Mondays-Fridays, 8 am-5 pm EST. They are familiar with the entire line -
from garment measurements, to help in selecting an outfit or for buying
a gift for that special person. Size

- What is a pant rise?
It measures how far the pants will come up on your waist. Long Elegant Legs'
pants are either Mid-Rise (about 1 ½" below the belly button), or
Natural Rise (which sits at the belly button).
Gifts
- Do you have Gift Cards?
Yes, absolutely. Just click on the link at the bottom of any page, and add
it to your shopping bag. Gift cards are available in denominations of $25,
$50, $75 and $100.
- Can I use my Gift Card on-line?
Yes, you can! Simply choose Gift Certificate as your payment method and enter your 16 digit gift card.If you
have an older 4 digit Gift Card, please call us at 800-344-2225 to place your order.
- What if my return/exchange was a gift?
